ABTL (ACE Bandage Tennis League) is Nebraska's longest-running recreational tennis league, and Lincoln has been part of it since day one. Founded in 1999, ABTL provides organized, competitive tennis at an affordable price with the flexible scheduling that busy adults need.

Whether you're a beginner picking up a racquet for the first time or an experienced player looking for regular competition, the Lincoln tennis league has a division for you. We offer both singles and doubles formats with men's, women's, and mixed divisions - all for just $30 per season.

How It Works

Playing in the Lincoln Tennis League

Getting started is simple. Here's how the ABTL league works in Lincoln.

1. Register Online

Create a free account on our website, choose singles or doubles (or both), and pay the $30 registration fee. It only takes a few minutes.

2. Get Your Division

You'll be placed in a skill-appropriate division based on your self-rated NTRP level. Every match is competitive because you play opponents at your level.

3. Schedule Matches

Each round gives you a 2-week window. Contact your opponent, agree on a time and court in the Lincoln area, and play when it works for both of you.

4. Compete & Climb

Play your matches, report scores online, and track your progress in real-time standings. Eight or more matches per season keep you busy all summer or fall.

Strong shot variety, good court coverage, and solid tactical play. Competitive and consistent.

High-level play with power, spin, and advanced strategy. Former college or tournament-level players.

Season Format

How the Lincoln Season Works

Two seasons per year, each packed with competitive matches.

The Lincoln tennis league runs two seasons annually: Summer (June through August) and Fall (September through November). Each season includes 8 or more rounds of play, giving you plenty of matches to compete and improve.

Matches are played at any public court in Lincoln that you and your opponent agree on. Woods Park, Woods Tennis Center, Highlands, and other public courts throughout the city are all popular choices. The flexibility to choose your own court and time is what sets ABTL apart.

You're welcome here. Our beginner divisions are designed for players who are still developing their game. You'll be matched with opponents at a similar level, so you won't be thrown in over your head. Many of our Lincoln players started ABTL as beginners and have improved steadily over multiple seasons.
